I live in Brooklyn now! Yay! :)
However, I am bewildered by the subways in Brooklyn. I lived in Queens for 7 years, and the subways there are easier to understand, and I'd gotten used to how they ran late nights and weekends. I've pretty well mastered the subway map between Houston St. and 116th St.
But there are so many more lines and they criss-cross all over in Brooklyn. I'm good at following directions, but I miss being able to make decisions on the fly because I have a hard time understanding what transfers with what where and what changes at night and on the weekend.
Does anyone out there who still reads this ;) have any advice or memory devices for Brooklyn and lower Manhattan subways? Learning late nights and weekends might take a while, but getting to know the map better is something I'd love to get a handle on soon.
Thanks!

I quit smoking
